About the service
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) determines the localisation and expression level of proteins within tissue at cellular resolution. Its uses range from pathological assessment to the confirmation of experimental findings.
The process covers deparaffinisation of sections, antigen retrieval, blocking of endogenous peroxidase, antibody incubations and visualisation with a chromogen. Control tissues are processed within the same run, so that the interpretation of staining rests on a reliable reference.
