First Trials of Plant-Based Products in Cell Culture

Preliminary trials were carried out to determine how various plant-based products behave in a cell culture environment.

At this stage, basic parameters such as solubility, choice of solvent, the workable concentration range and compatibility with the culture medium were established. The preliminary findings lay the groundwork for the design of later cytotoxicity and mechanism-of-action studies.
